Another great deal from a recent wine vendor's holiday tasting, this red Bordeaux blend tastes like it should cost you much more. 80% of the fruit came from the Wahluke slope, lending ripe flavors and a powdery nose. The remainder of the fruit came from Kamiak Vineyards on the Snake River. This fruit gives a soft, lush touch to the wine. The grapes were gently fermented and aged in new French and American oak for 16 months. The nose hints of vanilla and toast with notes of berry and cherry in the background and undertones of toasty oak. This was one of our top sellers at our October tasting.Food pairing suggestions:Red sauces and red meats are the best matches for this wine. |
