A classic Pinot Noir from the famous Truchard Vineyard in Napa Valley. With its brilliant color the wine opens up to ripe cherry, spice, cedar, and toasty vanilla aromas. With medium tannins and good acidity it has a very balanced mouth feel.As Wine Spectator has observed, "The thread of similarity that runs through all the Truchard wines is a blend of pure flavor, harmony and finesse." Its an ideal companion to rich foods such as smoked duck, sausages and stilton cheese. This wine was aged with 60% new oak.
